United States National Security Council Coordinator for Strategic Communications John Kirby said on Thursday that Washington is exploring the possibility of imposing further sanctions against Iran in response to Tehran allegedly supplying Russia with weapons for its war in Ukraine, APA reports quoting Teletrader.
Kirby also stated that the US is "not focused" on reviving the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), also known as the Iran nuclear deal, at the moment as a result of Tehran's arms supplies to Moscow.
The US official added that Washington and its partners are discussing supplying Ukraine with "more air defense capabilities."
