U.S. President Donald Trump announced that a new agreement with NATO includes the delivery of military aid to Ukraine worth billions of U.S. dollars in the Oval Office during a meeting with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte, APA reports citing Ukrinform.
"Billions of dollars' worth of military equipment is going to be purchased from the United States, going to NATO, etc. And that's going to be quickly distributed to the battlefield. Ukraine will take it up," Trump said.
He noted that the weapons the U.S. will provide to NATO for Ukraine's defense would include missile systems and Patriot batteries. According to Trump, it will be a "full complement with batteries" intended to strengthen Ukraine's air defense.
"We're going to have some come very soon, within days," Trump added.
