US National Security Adviser Mike Waltz has neither confirmed nor refuted that President Trump had a phone call with his Russian counterpart, Vladimir Putin, APA reports citing TASS.
"Tthere are certainly a lot of sensitive conversations going on," he said in n interview with NBC News when asked whether such a phone call took place.
He said that Trump is determined to settle the Ukrainian conflict and for these ends he is ready to impose sanctions and tariffs. According to Waltz, the US secretary of state, the secretary of defense, the vice president and the special envoy for Ukraine and Russia would go to Europe next week to talks "through the details of how to end this war and that will mean getting both sides to the table".
