In connection with the U.S. operation in Venezuela, U.S. President Donald Trump stated that his warnings regarding Colombian President Gustavo Petro remain in effect, APA reports.
"He has cocaine factories [in the country]. And yes, I stand by my previous statements. He produces cocaine, it's shipped to the United States. So he needs to watch his ass," Trump said, responding to a question about whether his previous warnings regarding Petro still apply. The American leader had previously accused Petro of encouraging drug production. He emphasized that the United States could take forceful action against Colombia if its authorities fail to step up the fight against drug production.
