President Donald Trump said he agreed to meet with British Prime Minister Keir Starmer in the next few weeks, APA reports citing CNN.
The president told reporters in the Oval Office on Friday that he recently spoke with the prime minister on the phone.
“He asked for a meeting and I agreed to the meeting. We’re going to have a friendly meeting,” Trump said. “We have a lot of good things going on.”
The president said Starmer wanted to come to the US “very soon,” as early as “next week or the week after.” Trump reiterated that the meeting was requested by Starmer and that he was not sure what specifically the prime minister hopes to discuss.
