The Skipper tanker, carrying Venezuelan oil and seized by the United States near Venezuela in early December, has been towed to a port in Texas, APA reports citingnKHOU.
According to him, the vessel is anchored approximately 50 miles (80 km) from the port city of Galveston. "It [the tanker] is there because the Coast Guard is stationed there. We [the US] have the facilities necessary to unload the oil there," the channel quoted expert Ed Hirs as saying.
