Speaking about his meeting with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio said they had a frank and important conversation about the war in Ukraine, APA reports citing Reuters.
He also stated that Trump is disappointed that there has not been more flexibility on the Russian side over Ukraine.
According to him, the United States needs to see a roadmap moving forward on how the Ukraine conflict can conclude.
"The Trump administration has been engaging with the Senate on what a sanctions bill would look like," Rubio said.
The U.S. is frustrated that more progress hasn't been made, it's been difficult, the U.S. Secretary of State added.
