Tropical storm Roslyn which is expected to make landfall in Mexico by Sunday has intensified into a strong Category 4 hurricane, The United States National Hurricane Center (NHC) warned, APA reports citing Teletrader.
The cyclone is heading toward Mexico's Pacific coast and is likely to bring a storm surge and flash floods to portions of the country. The massive storm intensified in a fast-paced manner in under 24 hours, making it one of the quickest-growing hurricanes to ever threaten the eastern Pacific.
"Although some weakening is possible beginning tonight, Roslyn is expected to still be near or at major hurricane strength when it makes landfall on Sunday," the NHC said.
