Representatives of Türkiye, the United States, Qatar, and Egypt discussed Gaza in Miami, said Turkish Foreign Ministry spokesperson Öncü Keçeli, APA’s Türkiye bureau reports.
At the meeting, issues related to the implementation of the first phase of the Gaza peace plan were reviewed, and views were exchanged on the process of moving to the second phase.
It was noted that despite violations, the ceasefire ensured in the first phase continues, the release of hostages has been completed, and hostilities have largely ceased.
Regarding the second phase, arrangements to ensure that Gaza is governed by Gazans were discussed, and steps to be taken concerning the Peace Council and the International Stability Force envisaged in the peace plan were assessed.
Additionally, within the framework of this meeting, an exchange of views was held with officials present in Miami regarding talks aimed at ending the war between Russia and Ukraine.
