The date of the meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and US President Donald Trump has still not been set, and will likely not take place next week, Russian Presidential Aide Yury Ushakov said on Tuesday.
"The delegations of the two countries have a lot of work to do. We are ready for this but it is still difficult to speak about the specific date of the meeting between the two leaders," Ushakov said in an interview with Russia’s Channel One television channel.
Ushakov commented on a Bloomberg report which claimed that the two presidents may meet next week, saying: "it’s unlikely."
However, he confirmed that the presidential meeting was a topic of discussion at the Riyadh summit.
"The issue was discussed. We are working out the terms of this meeting," Ushakov added.
The Riyadh talks lasted four and a half hours.
