The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) wants to inspect Iran’s nuclear facilities in order to verify Tehran’s claims that the sites are dangerous and inaccessible, said IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi said this in an interview with RIA Novosti, APA reports.
He noted that Iran is obliged to grant access to these facilities under the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty.
Grossi hopes to make some progress in negotiations on this issue. He also stated that Iran has more nuclear facilities than the three that were struck by the United States in June.
