International Atomic Energy Agency Director General Mariano Grossi said he and United States Secretary of State Antony Blinken held a "comprehensive" meeting in Washington DC on Monday, APA reports citing Teletrader.
The IAEA head thanked the US for supporting the agency's "efforts to establish a Nuclear Safety & Security Protection Zone" at the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant.
In the conversation, Grossi also reminded the US official that IAEA's inspectors will visit locations in Ukraine that are under the organization's safeguards, after receiving a written request from Kiev to send teams to carry out verification activities.
