The G7 countries continue to discuss the possibility of using frozen Russian assets to support Ukraine, says the joint statement issued after the meeting of the G7 foreign ministers in Ontario, Canada, APA reports.
"The G7 countries are discussing a number of financial options, including the further coordinated use of Russian assets frozen in their jurisdictions to support Ukraine," the document says.
The document also notes that the G7 countries intend to increase pressure on Moscow and are also exploring measures against countries that allegedly help finance Russia's special military operation in Ukraine.
