At least 31 people have been injured after a car ploughed into a crowd in Los Angeles, APA reports citing The Sun.
Emergency services descended on Santa Monica Boulevard in East Hollywood after a car smashed into pedestrians at around 2am local time.
LA Fire Department captain Adam Van Gerpen, one of 124 firefighters at the scene, said there were "approximately 31 patients" being treated, and the majority of them had been rushed to hospital.
Seven people are reported to be in a critical condition - with a further six in a serious condition, and another 19 being treated for minor injuries.
The captain told that the car smashed into a taco cart and then a crowd outside a night club, after the driver "lost consciousness" - though it's unclear how.
He said there were also reports that one of the patients who had been inside the car suffered a gunshot wound.
