Washington –APA. US President-elect Barack Obama continued assembling his White House team, naming David Axelrod, his former strategist for the Senate and then presidential campaign, Lisa Brown, a former counsel to Vice President Gore, staff secretary, Greg Craig, former adviser and aide to Bill Clinton, a legal counsel, and tapping his former Senate legislative director, Christopher P. Lu, to be Cabinet Secretary.
CNN, quoting multiple sources, is reporting that Penny Pritzker is the top choice of President-elect Barack Obama to become his secretary of Commerce. The 49-year-old billionaire was national finance chair of Obama’s record-breaking presidential campaign. She is an heir of the Pritzker family of Chicago that founded the Hyatt chain of hotels. Penny Pritzker is currently chairwoman of Classic Residence by Hyatt and is listed as among the wealthiest 140 Americans, with an estimated fortune of nearly $3 billion.
Senator-Democrat Hillary Clinton is among the Obama’s top-choices for Secretary of State. Former President Bill Clinton said he believed his wife would be “grandiose secretary”. Hillary Clinton will respond Obama’s offer this week.
