One dead from gunshot in downtown Los Angeles

Baku-APA. One person was killed and at least two were wounded during a gunfire near Chinatown in downtown Los Angeles Saturday, local authorities said, APA reports quoting Xinhua News Agency.

The body of the victim of a shooting near the intersection of Figueroa Street and Sunset Boulevard on the western side of Chinatown was found, paramedics and firefighters said. They also reported to have found three other victims at the site.

Numerous people called in reports of multiple shots being fired near 1300 W. Sunset Blvd. just before noon. Numerous people had been shot, and one wounded person had been scooped up in a car that raced off to the north, the callers said.

At present police and fire officials are still assessing the situation and was unable to provide any details.
