4 gendarme officials injured in bomb explosion in Algeria

Baku-APA. Four National Gendarmerie officials of Algeria were injured in a roadside bomb attack on Thursday, APA reports quoting Xinhua.

The attack took place in the municipality of Bordj Menaiel in Boumerdes province, 50 km eastern of the capital Algiers.

The bomb exploded at around 11:00 a.m. (1200 GMT) when a patrol team of the National Gendarmerie passed by the locality of "la Gerante" on the national road 12 linking the provinces of Algiers and Tizi Ouzou, the source said.

The four injured were sent to the nearest hospital for medical treatment.

In a similar development, TSA reported that a terror group raided a unit of the National Gendarmerie with handmade rockets in the province of Bouira, 100 km southeast of Algiers, overnight Wednesday, with no victim reported.

The earlier attack caused material damage to the main building of the barrack, located in the eastern part of the province.
