Egyptian president orders committee to probe detainees

Baku-APA. Egypt’s President Mohamed Morsi on Wednesday decided to form a committee to probe all cases of civilians who were convicted by military courts in all events after the turmoil last year, APA reports quoting Xinhua.

The decision said the committee should submit a detailed report within two weeks to the president. It also obligated all institutions to present necessary documents to support the committee, official MENA news agency reported.

The committee will also investigate all detainees and revolutionaries against whom the ordinary judiciary issued verdicts.

The committee comprised members of civil and military justice general prosecution, and four representatives of the civil society and revolutionists.
