Nigerian troops kills 3 gunmen in northern Kano

Baku-APA. Nigerian troops operating in northwest city of Kano on Wednesday said they gunned down three suspected gunmen in the state metropolis. Spokesperson for the Joint Security Task Force (JTF) Lt. Ikedichi Iweha said this while displaying the corpses of the suspects before journalists in Kano, APA reports quoting Xinhua.

The suspects were killed on Tuesday around 8:00 pm local time after they had snatched a car, Honda 2010 Model from a businessman in Kano.

Iweha said the victim quickly alerted one of the security check points in the town and security personnel responded promptly.

The military spokesperson said items recovered in the stolen vehicle included two pistols, two AK 47 rifles and some live ammunition.
