Three killed in plane incident in E. Sudan, minister survives

Baku-APA. Three people were killed on Monday when a Sudanese plane deviated from the runway while taking off from Al-Fao airport in eastern Sudan, Sudanese Minister of Agriculture Abdul-Halim Al-Mutafi survived the incident, APA reports quoting Xinhua.
"The plane deviated from the runway as it was taking off from Al-Fao airport which resulted in killing of three people and injury of others who were transferred to the hospital for treatment," a local official at Al-Fao town, who spoke on condition of anonymity, told Xinhua.
"Sudanese Minister of Agriculture Abdul-Halim Al-Mutafi and other officials who were on board survived the incident," he added.
He noted that the minister and the accompanying delegation were on an inspection mission to agricultural projects at the area which constitutes one of the biggest agricultural schemes in Sudan.
