Azerbaijan is one of Montenegro’s most important investors, Montenegro’s Minister of Tourism Simonida Kordić said during a panel discussion titled “Emerging Investment Areas: Real Estate, Tourism and Urban Development” held as part of the 2nd Azerbaijan International Investment Forum, APA reports.
“The portfolio of international investors in Montenegro is expanding. Azerbaijan is one of Montenegro’s most important investors. One of our flagship projects is Porto Montenegro, which is financed and managed by Azerbaijan,” the minister noted.
Kordić emphasized that Montenegro’s tourism sector has significant investment potential, particularly in the north of the country.
“Our tourism is mainly concentrated in the southern part of the country. However, there is great potential for investment in the north. The number of visits and the volume of high-quality investments there are steadily increasing,” the minister added.
She said Montenegro’s main goal is to create a favorable environment for high-quality tourists.
