Vacations are declared in Azerbaijan’s schools from March 20 due to Novruz holiday.
Under the decision (dated 6 December 2017) of the Cabinet of Ministers, this year Novruz holiday will be celebrated on March 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, which are considered non-working days.
According to the Labor Code, as March 24 falls on a Saturday, which considered a non-working day in Azerbaijan, 26 March will be a day off.
Thus, March 26 will be school day for schools with a 6 day schedule and March 27 for schools with a 5 day schedule.
