The Ganja City Health Department held a meeting on Jan. 15 dedicated to the implementation of the “Action Plan to reduce child mortality in the Republic of Azerbaijan”.
The main objective of the meeting was to discuss measures aimed at reducing the child mortality rate in the country to a single digit and bringing these indicators into line with those of the world’s most developed countries, the Health Ministry’s press service told APA.
At the meeting it was noted that the infant and child mortality rates in the country have dropped three times over the past 30 years. The child mortality rates in Azerbaijan’s district for 2017 were also analyzed at the meeting.
