In accordance with President Ilham Aliyev’s instructions, Azerbaijan continues the Great Return to its liberated territories, APA reports.
As part of the latest phase, relocation convoys have departed for Khankendi and the settlement of Karkijahan; the villages of Tazabina, Khanyurdu, Khanabad and Ballija in the Khojaly district; the villages of Vangli, Chapar and Ashaghi Oratagh in the Aghdara district; and the village of Shukurbayli in the Jabrayil district.
The returning residents are families who had been temporarily accommodated across Azerbaijan, mainly in dormitories, sanatoriums and administrative buildings.
At this stage, three families comprising 13 people are returning to Khankendi, while five families comprising 22 people are moving to Karkijahan.
Seven families comprising 31 people are being relocated to Tazabina, five families comprising 22 people to Khanyurdu, two families comprising 10 people to Khanabad, and one family comprising four people to Ballija.
Moreover, four families comprising 14 people are returning to Vangli, four families comprising 11 people to Chapar, four families comprising nine people to Ashaghi Oratagh, and 24 families comprising 148 people to Shukurbayli.
In total, 59 families comprising 284 people are returning to their native lands during this phase.
The returning residents thanked President Ilham Aliyev and First Vice-President Mehriban Aliyeva for the state support provided to them. They also expressed gratitude to the servicemen of the Azerbaijani Army who participated in the liberation of the country’s territories and honoured the memory of the martyrs.
