Co-chairman of the Joint Economic, Trade and Technical Commission between the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Government of the State of Qatar, Minister of Emergency Situations Kamaladdin Heydarov, attended the official reception organized by the Embassy of the State of Qatar in Baku on the occasion of the National Day of the State of Qatar, the Ministry of Emergency Situations told APA.
It was noted that speaking at the reception, Minister Kamaladdin Heydarov congratulated the people of Qatar on the occasion of the National Day on behalf of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Mr. Ilham Aliyev, and wished the State of Qatar peace and continuous progress.
Stressing that the diplomatic relations formed between Azerbaijan and Qatar over the past thirty years are based on friendship and mutual respect, the Minister recalled that the multifaceted relations between the countries have been constantly expanding as a result of the wise, consistent, and far-sighted policies of the leaders of the two countries.
In this context, the activities of the Joint Economic, Trade, and Technical Commission between the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Government of the State of Qatar were noted. The Minister, who said that the fourth meeting of the Commission held in November of this year was an important step towards deepening economic cooperation between the two countries, spoke about the first meeting of the Azerbaijan-Qatar Joint Business Council organized within the framework of the meeting.
K. Heydarov also spoke about the cooperation relations in the field of emergency management between the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the relevant agencies of the State of Qatar, noting the mutual benefit of expanding relations in various directions.
