“The increase in the minimum wage and social benefits serves to improve the welfare of the country’s citizens, as well as the representatives of the Azerbaijan Trade Unions Confederation (ATUC). This meeting will contribute to making the organization’s activities more efficient and accelerating social partnership even further," said Shahin Mustafayev, Azerbaijan’s Deputy Prime Minister, during his speech at the VIII Congress of the Azerbaijan Trade Unions Confederation (ATUC), APA reports.
He noted that this forms the main direction, and the Cabinet of Ministers cooperates with ATUC on issues related to workplace safety and social protection.
At the same time, Shahin Mustafayev emphasised that in the upcoming Main Collective Agreement covering 2026–2028, environmental issues and the impact of artificial intelligence on jobs will be among the priority directions.
