Rauf Tagiyev: Deportation of Azeris from Russia has no relation with the recent amendments to law on migration
“We raise other important issues in the meeting. Azerbaijani citizens, who at the present live in Russia and do not have national passport, will be given passports in this country. It is implemented by the commission established on the decree of Azerbaijani president. When you enter the country the customs officers stamp on the document. But the passports that will be used inside city will not have stamps. Our citizens could face problem with those stamps when leaving the country. According to the agreement the passports will be stamped in Azerbaijani Consulates in St. Petersburg and Moscow. Tagiyev said that according to Russia legislation the person who indicates his aim of the entrance to the country as working. But it has not been written in the cards of most Azeris.
“When our citizens came to Russia the law was not like this. Even the aim of the visit is indicated as tourism, if the person appeals about his desire for working, he should be allowed. Russia side treated it normal and noted that they will try to lift this gap, he said.
Tagiyev said that our citizens are demanded the translation of the passports too. He also mentioned that they visited some markets of Russia, Russia Azerbaijanis Congress and legal assistance headquarters of Azerbaijanis. The delegation came to conclusion that there is no serious problem for Azerbaijani migrants.
“The deportation of Azerbaijanis from Russia does not have any relation with recent amendment to the law on Migration. The ones who violated the laws of Russia face these problems. /APA/
