Armenia will host the annual Eagle Partner joint military exercises with the United States from June 17 to 25, APA reports.
According to the Armenian Defense Ministry's press service, this year's exercises will also include military personnel from France and Greece.
The exercises will be held in preparation for participation in international peacekeeping missions. They will involve service members from the peacekeeping brigade of the Armenian Armed Forces (250 participants), the U.S. Army Europe and Africa and the Kansas National Guard (58 participants), France (24 participants), and Greece (11 participants). Peacekeeping tasks will be practiced and implemented.
"The goal of the Eagle Partner 2026 military exercise is to enhance the interoperability of units participating in international peacekeeping missions, exchange best practices in the field of command and control and tactical communications, and strengthen the combat readiness of the peacekeeping unit of the Armenian Armed Forces," the Armenian Defense Ministry said in a statement.
