"The most important regional development for me as ambassador was the peace process with Armenia," German Ambassador to Azerbaijan Ralf Horlemann said at a press conference organized on the occasion of the completion of his term of office, APA reports.
"As ambassador, one of my major priorities was to support the Azerbaijan-Armenia peace process," Horlemann said.
He emphasized Azerbaijan's commitment to international multilateralism, noting that the country successfully hosted events such as COP29 and WUF13.
"Another important event with broad implications for Azerbaijan was the two wars that took place in Iran over the past 12 months. At a certain stage, Azerbaijan also became part of and a target of this conflict. Drone attacks were carried out on the airport. Another point I observed was Azerbaijan's stronger orientation toward Central Asia and the Turkic world. This is reflected in the development of the Organization of Turkic States and the deepening of cooperation within the organization," the ambassador noted.
Ralf Horlemann also pointed out that Azerbaijan-Germany relations have been developing in various fields in a friendly atmosphere.
