851 people were rescued during the emergency situations and disastrous occurrences, including road accidents and 208 people trapped in the vehicles during the accidents were rescued.
Taking the importance of quick response to the emergency situations and first medical aid to the sufferers into consideration, special rescue teams were established in the State Firefighting Service for conducting quick rescue operations in 12 regions with heavy traffic. They were equipped with Nisan Patrol cars and special rescue equipments.
The rescuers conducted 105 operations for elimination of the consequences of road accidents this year. 186 alive and 107 bodies were pulled from the deformed vehicles. The injured people were hospitalized.
