Maleyka Abbaszadeh: There are mistakes in the secondary school textbooks published in Azerbaijan

Sevil Zeynalgizi â€“ APA. â€œThere are some mistakes in the secondary school textbooks in Azerbaijan,â€ chairperson of the State Student Admission Commission (SSAC) Maleyka Abbaszadeh said, APA reports. According to her, there are also mistakes in the textbooks on biology and history published this year.

â€œThe pupils may admit the mistakes as correct information,â€ she said.
SSAC chairperson said the amendments will be published in the 1st edition of the Abituriyent journal in January. The mistakes will be spoken about from page 57 to 69 of the journal. Abbaszadeh said the questions in the test bank will require correct answers, therefore, the entrants must read the journal.

â€œMistakes in the textbook on history are not good both from moral and political aspect,â€ she said.

Commenting on the SSAC chairpersonâ€™s statement, chairperson of the Textbook Assessment Council under the Education Ministry Elmina Kazimzadeh said there are mistakes in the textbooks on biology and history, because the textbooks were not prepared basing on new criteria.
