An advance of salary of a large group of working stratums is expected in Azerbaijan by the year-end and in the beginning of the next year, chairman of the Social Policy Committee of the Parliament Hadi Rajabli told journalist, APA reports. The wages of teachers, doctors and other social groups will be increased, Rajabli said. He said the President of the country gave corresponding instruction to the financial organizations.
The committee chairman said wages of about 600 000 people would be increased by 10%. “The economic processes in the country are successive and sustainable. Minimal wage in the country was AZN 25 seven years ago. If we compare minimal wage of $125 with the rate of inflation, we can see dynamic growth in this field in Azerbaijan. The increase of minimal salary by 10% will take AZN 500 million financial resourcesâ€.
