International scientific conference â€œThe place and role of the Caucasian Albania in the history of Azerbaijan and Caucasusâ€ takes place in Baku â€“ PHOTOSESSION

APA reports that the conference is organized by the Fund for Development of Science under President of Azerbaijan Republic, University of Architecture and Construction and National Aviation Academy. Chief of the socio-political department of the Presidential Administration Ali Hasanov said the three-day conference will play an important role in substantiating the historical realities of Azerbaijan, the place and role of the Caucasian Albania in the history of Azerbaijan and generally of the Caucasus.
â€œThe conference will demonstrate the real history from the 4th millennium B.C. up to the marches of the Arab caliphate and after that. These historical sources will help eliminate the Armenian claims,â€ he said.

Education Minister Misir Mardanov said the theme of the conference is always essential for Azerbaijan.
â€œGreat steps are being taken to return the names of the historical monuments in the territory of Azerbaijan. It should be confessed that once we were deceived much, a lot of false promises were given to the Azerbaijani people. But the studies made by our outstanding scientists revealed whom these historical monuments belong to,â€ he said.

Correspondent member of the Georgian Academy of Sciences, senior scientific adviser of the Manuscripts Fund of Georgia Zaza Aleksidze said the territory of Albania is the ancient Azerbaijani land. Zaza Aleksidze said the Alban church in Azerbaijan is older than the Armenian church. He said Armenians, who make mistake concerning it, are later obliged to apologize for it.

Deputy Minister of Culture and Tourism Sevda Mammadaliyeva said 39 lectures will be delivered on the history, archeology and architecture of the Caucasian Albania.
Scientists from UK, Germany, Russia, Japan, Poland, Italy, Georgia and Dagestan will deliver lectures at the conference.
