Japanese Government offers scholarships for Azerbaijani citizens wishing to study at country’s universities as undergraduate students

Baku – APA. The Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports and Technology of Japan (Monbukagakusho) offers scholarships for Azerbaijani citizens wishing to study at Japanese universities as undergraduate students for the academic year of 2012 in the fields of Social Sciences and Humanities (Laws, Politics, Pedagogy, Sociology, Literature, History, Economics, Business Administration, etc.) and Natural Sciences (Science, Electric and Electronic Studies, Mechanical Studies, Civil Engineering and Architecture, Chemical Studies, Agricultural Studies, Biology, Medicine, etc.), Japanese Embassy in Azerbaijan told APA. According to the requirements, applicants must be citizens of the Republic of Azerbaijan, must have been born between April 2, 1990 and April 1, 1995, must either have completed a twelve year regular course of school education or have graduated from a school equivalent to the senior high school in Japan, must (be willing to) learn the Japanese language and receive the university education in the Japanese language.
The term of scholarship is five years from April 2012 to March 2017, including the one-year preliminary instruction in the Japanese language.
Those who wish to get application forms can apply to the Culture and Information Section of the Embassy. The deadline for submission of filled-in applications to the Embassy is June 10, 2011, 17:30.
