On this request, Turkey proposes vacancies and consequently we address the State Commission for Student Admission according to these vacancies and professions. The State Commission announces these vacancies for student admission”, Deputy Minister of Education Elmar Gasimov told APA. He said from this year, the admission process in Turkey would be controlled not by the Turkey’s National Education Ministry, but by the newly-established office for work with the Turkish communities and people: “Turkish side decided to conduct choice of professions, applications reception and admission process this year. This is contradictory to the protocol signed between the Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Education and Turkey’s National Education Ministry. Azerbaijan is not satisfied with the professions proposed by the Turkish side regarding the student admission. We know and determine what professions are important for us. Turkey accepted our ideas and probably they will make decision according to the Azerbaijan’s position soon”.

Elmar Gasimov said the Azerbaijanis studying abroad do not face problems in finding jobs after returning to the Motherland.
“Our young people, who got education abroad, are working in the medical institutions, companies. Our students do not face any problems in finding jobs after returning. They are offered several variants. They have the right to get a job in the civil service without passing a test. They can use this right,” he said.

Deputy Minister also commented on education of medical students abroad.
“There are a lot of prestigious universities, medical centers in the world. These centers make discoveries in the field of medicine, they produce modern equipment. Of course, new forms of treatment are applied there. It is in our interests that our students continue their education in the high-quality medical centers of these countries. The majority of these students studied at Azerbaijan Medical University for six years. They continue their education in foreign countries for six or seven years. They improve their knowledge gained here. All countries of the world enjoy exchange of students. We are also enjoying this exchange. Why shouldn’t we make use of the achievements gained in Turkey and Germany? We have always needed to study their practice and we are making use of it,” he said.
