The statement says that the water content rose in the mountainous rivers due to the increase of temperature and snow melting in the low mountainous areas. The water content in the rivers in Balaken-Shaki part of the Greater Caucasus constitutes 170-200 percent of the ten-day norm, in the rivers in Guba-Khachmaz region 90-220 percent, in Lankaran-Astara region 150-200 percent, in the rivers in the Lesser Caucasus 90-135 percent of the ten-day norm.

As regards the state of the transboundary rivers, the water flow discharge in Giragkesemen settlement of the Kur river is 283 cubic meters per second, 93 percent of the ten-day norm (450 cubic meters per second, 148 percent of the ten-day norm in 2010), in Eyrichay settlement of the Ganikh river 100 cubic meters per second, 89 percent of the ten-day norm (114 cubic meters per second, 102 percent of the ten-day norm in 2010).

The present level of water in Surra settlement is 640 cm (the level was 731 cm on March 28, 2010; the maximum level 955 cm on May 21, 2010), in Shirvan 556 cm (the level was 635 cm on March 28, 2010; the maximum level 853 cm on May 18, 2010), in Salyan 480 cm (the level was 656 cm on March 28, 2010; the maximum level 855 cm on May 18, 2010), in Banke 341 cm (the level was 410 cm on March 28, 2010; the maximum level 503 cm on May 18, 2010), Novruzlu settlement of the Araz river 353 cm (the level was 474 cm on March 28, 2010; the maximum level 734 cm on May 21, 2010).
