“Media gives wrong information on it. The explosion happened in the upper defensive cover of the reactor, not inside it. And hydrogen gas spread during the explosion. As a result of the explosion light divisible particles spread into the environment from the hot zone. Therefore, we speak only about the radioactive gases, which are part of those products. Probability distribution of these gases over a long distance does not exist, as its volume is very small. However, due to the fact that settlements are set to certain restrictions, the Japanese authorities evacuate people from areas located in 30 km. These radioactive substances are not harmful at a distance of 2 meters. And that is why, there is no reason for panic in connection with it”.

Garibov said that if second Chernobyl occurs in Japan, then radiation clouds will settle in the same area and not penetrate the dry continent.
