Construction of buildings for IDPs settled in two dormitories of Baku State University may start this year

They envisage resettlement of the internally displaced persons from dormitories, from the flats they settled in 1992-93, solution of this problem by this way, resettlement of over 700 families from half-constructed Emergency Station in Baku. As a result of these measures, about 10,000 families will be resettled within five years,â€ Deputy Prime Minister, chairman of the State Committee for Refugees and IDPs Ali Hasanov told journalists, APA reports.

According to Ali Hasanov, if during the implementation of the program, there are changes in the peace talks on Nagorno Karabakh problem, the implementation of the program will be suspended and the issues will be reviewed.
Deputy Prime Minister added that 600-flat settlement is being constructed in Aghjabadi for IDPs from Lachin region, the construction will be completed within three or four months. Noting that 15-storey building is being constructed for IDPs in Mingachevir he said three 5-storey buildings were inaugurated in February. The construction of nine more 5-storey buildings will start in that territory soon. According to him, all IDPs living in Naftalan, about 500 families will move there at the end of this year. Ali Hasanov said if the funds are enough, the construction of the buildings for the IDPs, who settled in two dormitories of Baku State University, may start this year.
