Azerbaijani government confirms new state program on protection of disabled

The decision says that the program is aimed to provide the active integration disabled persons to the society with the solution of their medical-social rehabilitation.

According to APA-Economics, the program is designed to take different measures on medical rehabilitation and health protection of disabled persons. This includes providence of disabled with rehabilitation in abroad and the technical restoration and transport facilities, organization of sanatorium-resort treatment, involving to physical education and sport. Besides, technical assistance for children with limited health and the boarding houses and rehabilitation centres for disabled persons are planned to be kept. AZN 7.67 mln is planned to be spent for keeping of boarding houses and rehabilitation centres for disabled persons, AZN 5.17 mln for providence of disabled with technical restoration and transport facilities, AZN 950 000 for sanatorium-resort treatment, AZN 240 000 for rehabilitation in abroad.

At the same time, a special program is planned to be developed to improve the information provision of disabled.

AZN 300 000 will be spent to send the disabled persons to the recreation centres for organization of leisure time. All of these measures will cost AZN 15.8 mln and be financed by state budget.
