Little rainy, weak snow is forecasted in Azerbaijanâ€™s capital

Department chief of Ecology and Natural Resources Ministry’s National Hydrometeorological Forecasts Bureau Gulshad Mammadova told APA that the weather will be little rainy and snowy in some places of the capital from night on February 17 to February 18. But it will be changeable cloudy, mostly rainless in the daytime. Mild north-east wind will blow. The temperature will be -2â€¦1 C at night, 2â€¦6 C in the daytime on February 18.

On February 17, it will sleet and snow in some regions of Azerbaijan as well. But the weather will be mainly rainless on February 18 in western regions. It will be foggy in some places at night and in the morning. It will be little rainy in some eastern regions. Sleet and snow is also forecasted in eastern regions. East wind will blow.

The temperature will be -4â€¦1 Cat night, 4â€¦9 C in the daytime in Lowland regions, in the mountains it will be -13â€¦-8 C at night, -2â€¦3 C in the daytime.

Basing on recent information, Mammadova said that the highest coat of snow in Azerbaijan has been recorded in Khaltan village of Guba region. Height of snow here is 54 cm, 49 cm â€“ Altiaghaj, 28 cm â€“ Kiravud village of Lerik, 27 cm â€“ Gusar, 23 cm â€“ Dashkesen-Gadabay.

According to words of Gulshad Mammadova, roads are expected to ice up during night hours, especially in Balaken-Shaki territory. Today, frosty weather will be observed during night hours as well. The temperature will be -10â€¦-5 C at night in Balaken-Shaki territory and mountainous areas.
