Zakir Garalov: â€œWe must start fighting against corruption from ourselvesâ€

The attorney-general said that in the fight against corruption and bribery the works for purification the ranks of the prosecutor’s office should be decisively continued. Besides it, the most serious measures should be provided regarding the bribes demanded by prosecutorâ€™s office staffers in the process of the criminal investigations, inspections, the illegal interference in the business activities, and the luxurious lifestyle, which is a fact of wallow in corruption.

â€œIn order to require the same attitudes from others and have the moral rights for investigation corrupt officialsâ€™ activity, we must start fighting against corruption from ourselvesâ€, â€“ the attorney-general Z. Garalov said.

At the meeting the attorney-general entrusted the attendees with the tasks on unconditional implementation of the presidential decree on â€œStrengthening the fight against corruption related to law violations in the area of management of state and municipal property and resourcesâ€, as the main duty of prosecutor’s office, keeping on the necessary works for implementation of the decree by all agencies and subordinated attorneys as well as the related orders of General Prosecutor’s Office, decisive measures against corruption offenses, and increasing the effectiveness of preventive measures.
