The weather will be cold and rainy in Azerbaijan during the first days of February, it will snow in some regions

Director of National Hydrometeorology Department at Ecology and Natural Resources Ministry Umayra Taghiyeva told APA that cold Arctic air masses coming from the north caused such weather. It will rain intermittently in the regions of the republic from February 1 till February 3. In some regions it will sleet. Snow is forecasted in mountainous and foothills regions. On February 1, from night on February 1 to February 2, precipitation is predicted to intensify at night and in the morning in some regions, especially in northern and eastern regions. The temperature will fall by 4-6 C compared to the previous days. Along with the precipitation, north wind is expected to strengthen in Baku and Absheron peninsula on February 1 and 2, at night and in the morning. And it will cause sharpening of cold discomfort weather.

On February 1, the temperature in Baku and Absheron peninsula will be 5 C in the daytime, 2 C toward the evening. Fall of temperature, at the same time sleet is forecasted in some places of Absheron peninsula from night on February 1 to February 2.

Taghiyeva noted that in spite of all these, the temperature would be above 0 C. It will be 1 C at night on February 2.

Within the first 3 days of February, the temperature will be -2â€¦3 Cay night and 4â€¦6 C in the daytime in Azerbaijani regions. In mountains, it will be 4â€¦9 C at night and 0â€¦3 C in the daytime.
