Number of telemetry â€“ satellite seismic stations to reach 30 â€“ <font color=red>PHOTO </font>

Baku. Ilhama Isabalayeva - APA. Seminar-training for employees of the Republic Center of Seismological Service of ANAS was held on December 15-17 for the purpose of improvement of working principle and knowledge of new telemetry â€“ satellite seismic stations operating in Azerbaijani regions, the Center told APA. Director of the Republic Seismological Service Center Gurban Yetirmishli said that since 2003, process of installation of telemetry-satellite seismic stations sold from US â€œKinemetricsâ€ company had being continued for the purpose of reconstruction of seismic monitoring system in the territory of the republic and improvement of seismic researches. Touching upon functioning of 25 telemetry seismic stations, the Director General said that construction works conducted in two new stations in Gobustan and Gabala were to end. Director General noted that construction works would be continued in the next year as well, two new stations would be installed in Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic and one in Gusar (Hazri) region. Thus, number of new telemetry-satellite seismic stations will reach 30. He also added that after liberation of our occupied lands, such stations would be restored in Kalbajar, Aghdam and Jabrayil regions. Director General noted that new telemetry-satellite seismic stations corresponded to new technologies and improvement of knowledge of employees of the center due to working principle was important from the viewpoint of increase of working efficiency.

To him, under the instructions of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, 7 complex telemetry-satellite seismic stations were purchased in 2008-2009 and 9 more in 2010.
