International Social Security Association to establish Regional Coordination Center in Azerbaijan

Baku. Nijat Mustafayev – APA-Economics. International Social Security Association plans to establish Regional Coordination Center for CIS and turkic-speaking countries in Azerbaijan.

According to SSPF, this decision was approved at the World Social Security Forum, held from November 29-December 4, in Cape Town.

This decision was announced by Hans-Horst Konkolewsky, Secretary General of the ISSA. He noted that, the information on this decision will be addressed to the relevant social insurance-pension organizations, recently.

It was offered to establish International Research and Training Center on social insurance-pension issues in Azerbaijan. General Secretary said that, the center is important for useful solution of social insurance-pension issues in the region and ISSA is ready to support this organization.

The Azerbaijani representatives have made speeches on automatized management system extending scale and organization of actual researches and decision-making methods in insurance-pension systems.

Development and Tendencies in social security sphere during the crisis, determining of new approach in management of social security organizations, demographic situation and other issues were discussed at the forum.

At the same time, new president of ISSA has been selected. This is a Chairman of Board of Directors of Netherlands Social Bank Erol Stuv.

During the event, SSPF chairman Salim Muslumov met with the heads of social insurance-pension organizations of Poland, Moldova, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, France, Kazakhstan, Russia, Netherlands, Germany, Estonia, Sweden and other countries.

Note that, ISSA has been in existence since 1927. The organization has near 340 members.
