Delivering speech at the event, Chief of Azerbaijan Parliament Economical Policy Commission Ziyad Samadzadeh said the ways of development of Azerbaijan and measures taken in this regard had been analyzed in the book: “Azerbaijan is only state in the world, where all spheres of the country’s development have been encircled with concrete state programs. Azerbaijani leadership was the first in the CIS space, which officially declared the completion of transition period. And, that is why, recently, the country’s economy has increased more among the other world countries. Minimum impact of global crisis on Azerbaijan was the result of these motivated measuresâ€.
Academician Asef Nadirov spoke about theory of economic development applied in Azerbaijan: “There are a lot of economic models used in the world. But development has its peculiar features in different countries. The State of Azerbaijan has determined its own way of development without depending on any other state. It is notable that the state received little damage from the recent world financial crisis. Today, several countries of the world want to derive benefit from Azerbaijan’s practiceâ€.
Rector of Azerbaijan State Economic University, MP Shamsaddin Hajiyev said that the way of development of Azerbaijan during the period of independence was analyzed via substantial arguments: “National development model of Azerbaijan is connected with the name of Heydar Aliyev. Macroeconomic indicators of Azerbaijan are 4-5 times more than joint indicators of neighboring Armenia and Georgiaâ€.
Executive Secretary of New Azerbaijan Party (YAP), MP Ali Ahmadov noted that Azerbaijani society has been thinking of this topic for several years: “When we speak about basis of Azerbaijan’s development model, we must note socio-political stability in the countryâ€.
MP, economist Ali Masimli said that the book was a step forward in Azerbaijan’s economic science. To him, the book assumes great importance from philosophical, theoretical and practical viewpoints. Editor of the book, Chief of the Public Policy Department of President’s Office Ali Hasanov said that the book was an original edition: “National Leader Heydar Aliyev stands in the foundation of Azerbaijan’s development model. Economy is not enough to develop a state. I am sure that different educational institutions, scientists will continue discussions on these issuesâ€.
