Attributing it to the favorable conditions created in Azerbaijan for the functioning of the international humanitarian organizations Ali Hasanov said the funds allocated by these organizations are guaranteed by the Azerbaijani government, the allocated funds are spent on intended purposes.

“Otherwise no international organization would not have come to Azerbaijan at the time when Azerbaijan supports its refugees and internally displaced persons,” Ali Hasanov said.

He said measures will be continued to improve the living conditions of the IDPs.

According to Ali Hasanov, 70-flat five-storey building has been constructed in Ramani, 2 five-storey buildings in Gabala, 3 five-storey buildings in Goranboy, 10 five-storey buildings (consisting of 612 flats) in Yevlakh, 689-flat settlement in Aghdam. Measures will be taken next year to provide the internally displaced persons with flats in Mingachevir, Aghjabadi and Goranboy. The IDPs will be relocated from hostels in Baku, schools and military units.
“Alongside with the schools and military units, Finnish-type settlements will also be emptied. We have already emptied 2 Finnish-type settlements, there are 13 left,” he said.

According to Ali Hasanov, about 100,000 refugees and IDPs (11,000 refugees, 89,000 IDPs) moved to new flats up to now.
“About 400,000 IDPs are living in hard conditions. The process of relocation will continue gradually,” he said.
