Delivering keynote speech, chair of the Commission, academician Budag Budagov informed on agendas. Budagov said that first issue related to renaming of Azizbayov district as Khazar district: “Local resident has appeal to related bodies on renaming of the district several timesâ€.
Commission members and MPs considered advisable this renaming taking into consideration geographical situation, and from economic strategic standpoint.
The meeting also debated change in the name of Yenikand village of Salyan region as Ashaghi Khalaj. It has been noted that resident had raised this question in front of related structures. Yenikand municipality has made a decision on renaming the village taking into consideration the desire of the people.
Ashaghi Khalaj name has been accepted during discussions. Plenary meeting of the parliament has been recommended by giving positive opinion on both issues at the end of the meeting.
