Professional Training Center for mine victims opens in Terter - <font color=red> PHOTOSESSION</font>

Terter. Teymur Zahidoglu â€“ APA. Professional training center for the mine victims, persons affected by war and their families has been opened in Terter. Terter Regional Professional Training Center has been constructed by International Eurasia Press Fund with the financial support of Office of Weapons Removal and Abatement of the Bureau of Political-Military Affairs of the U.S. Department of State.

International Eurasia Press Fund told APAâ€™s Karabakh bureau that the aim of constructing Terter Regional Professional Training Center was to employ persons affected by war, their families, mine victims, retired sappers, low-income families, IDPs, involve the graduates of the center to all spheres of the society and development processes.

Head of Terter region executive power Vidadi Isayev, representative of the U.S. Department of State Catherine Baker, military attachÃ© of the U.S. embassy in Azerbaijan, representative of the State Committee for Refugees and IDPs Agshin Aliyev, head of the Information Department of the National Agency for Mine Actions Murad Rahimov and director of the International Eurasia Press Fund Umud Mirzayev participated in the opening ceremony.

Vidadi Isayev said Terter was the region affected by mines most of all in the republic. At least two civilians die in the region as a result of mine blast every year. A little carpet woven by a mine victim was presented to Catherine Baker. On the occasion of April 4 - the International Day for Mine Awareness and Assistance in Mine Action aids were given to some of the mine victims from Terter.
