Baku. Kamala Guliyeva - APA. UNESCO experts’ visit to Azerbaijan regarding reforms in Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS) hasn’t been realized yet, said President of ANAS Mahmoud Karimov, APA reports. He said that the visit of the experts was scheduled for January, but it has not taken place yet: "UNESCO must finance the activities of experts. This issue has not found its solution yet. The experts made their proposals. But this proposal has not yet been discussed with us".
To Karimov, there are several reasons that Azerbaijani youth do not take interest in science at a desired level: “The salary is low in this sphere, it cannot solve the social security issues of scientists, and especially young professionals. If the issues such as providing them with dormitories, apartments, wages and pensions are setlled, interest in science may increaseâ€.
