Baku. Rashad Suleymanov-APA. 162 people were rescued by officials of the Ministry of Emergency Situations during 6205 fire accidents last year, Kamaladdin Heydarov, Minister of Emergency Situations said at the board meeting on February 17, APA reports.
To him, there wasn’t a drowning death in controlled water basins last year. But 54 persons drowned in uncontrolled water basins. At the same time, 254 people have been rescued in controlled beaches.
353 people were rescued during different 559 accidents, 136 people were offered emergency aid as a result of search-and-rescue operations by the Emergency Ministry last year.
Heydarov noted that works on restoration damaged homes in Shirvan, Hajigabul, Masalli, Khachmaz, Gabala and Gakh regions were being continued, as well as 400 000 AZN humanitarian aid consisting of building materials had been sent to people. According to the Minister, construction of 188 private houses has launched and they will be commissioned in a short time. Next month, construction of more than 100 houses will launch as well.
